Interested in teaching yoga to women during pregnancy, to support their birth and during early motherhood?
This unique teacher training is for yoga teachers and maternity professionals who want to learn a yogic approach to pregnancy, birth and early motherhood.
The Bella Mamma Yoga Post Graduate Yoga Teacher Training in pregnancy, birth and postnatal yoga is a comprehensive, professional training and a personal journey of discovery, and includes personal mentoring with Helen Macnair.
Approved by Yoga Australia, the aim is to pass on the holistic, gentle, nurturing approach that Helen has found so effective in empowering and uplifting women, supporting families and building connection and community.

Where:
Courses are held at Umina Beach Yoga studio on the beautiful Central Coast, about an hour north of Sydney.

Your tutor:
Helen Macnair has been teaching pregnancy, birth and postnatal yoga for over 20 years.  She is an experienced tutor, leading yoga teacher training programmes in the UK and for maternity professionals and yoga teachers in Australia. In these specialised courses, Helen shares her passion, knowledge and experience with you.

Prerequisites:
Minimum 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training.
Suitable for maternity and women’s health professionals.
Post Graduate Diploma qualifies graduates to teach pregnancy, birth and postnatal yoga classes.
To qualify to teach pregnancy yoga, you must complete both the yoga for pregnancy and birth courses (100 hours).

Training structure:
To qualify for the Postgraduate Diploma (150 hours), you attend each course and submit completed course work for assessment. Each 50 hour course can be attended individually and is recognised as an approved professional development (APD) course by Yoga Australia. Each course includes two non-residential weekend intensives held at the beginning and end of a 10 week period. This time allows for the necessary study, practise and course work to be completed and assessed.

“Helen is a wealth of knowledge and her years of experience in Yoga, birthing and motherhood shines through her classes. I am beyond thankful to have found her course and see her passion first hand. I personally have loved the collaborations included with women in our community specialising in pregnancy, birthing, parenting and more. Each emphasising the importance of nurturing mothers and their babies during this unique and special time in their lives. Helens incredible teachings and ability to hold space for mothers is not only informative but inspiring. Together with her one on one mentoring throughout I have gained vital knowledge that has truly enriched my personal experience of my pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey that I will be forever grateful for. This course has been the community connection I was seeking not only as a Teacher but as a mother. I strongly recommend this course to any Yoga teachers working with women and mothers in the community that want to dive deeper and strengthen their teaching abilities and offerings.”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed learning all about yoga to support women in pregnancy, preparing for birth and postnatally with Helen. Her course is so much more than safe asana poses during these phases (which I have touched on in previous yoga training), it’s about the community connection, the journey of motherhood and the power of women when we come together to support each other. I really enjoyed the balance of practical and theory and bringing in external partners to share their philosophies and expertise in this broad and fascinating subject matter. Highly recommend if you’re seeking to grow your knowledge and skills as a yoga teacher and support women through this epic life journey.”
