Focus on pranayama (breathing practises) to bring mental clarity, calm, and energise for the day ahead, combined with a flow practise building flexibility, strength, and balance in body and mind. Awareness stays with the breath while moving through a series of postures creating an accessible and effective moving meditation.

Throughout the class we offer students variations of poses and sequences so there is always the opportunity to choose more gentle, simpler versions of the practise or to take a more challenging, advanced option if you prefer. All classes include a short period of seated meditation and end in relaxation or sivasana. Classes are suitable for all levels of experience.

What is Pranayama?
Pranayama is the practice of breath regulation. In Sanskrit, ‘prana’ means life energy and ‘yama’ means control. According to research, pranayama can promote relaxation and mindfulness. It’s also proven to support multiple aspects of physical health, including lung function, blood pressure and brain function.
