Helen Moors, Helen found a love of yoga in her early twenties. After a move from a stressful, busy Sydney life to the central coast, she was introduced to a retreat centre nearby where she volunteered for several years and competed her yogic studies diploma in 2016. From here, with a qualification in classical yoga in the Satyananda traditon, pranayama, and meditation teaching, she went on to live as a resident and teacher in a New Zealand ashram for two years.
Helen is currently undertaking a PhD in psychology with a focus on yoga nidra (a form of meditation) and its effects on mental health. Although yoga nidra is her favourite yogic practice, she also loves to teach classical asana and gentle yoga.
Helen is excited to be a part of the Umina Beach Yoga team for the month of June and hopes to see you on the mat!

Kate Long, Kate’s passion for yoga extends from her own personal journey over the past 18-years, discovering yoga as a kind and constant anchor which has supported her through life’s many changes, pregnancy and motherhood included. She has studied Hatha Yoga and Yin, continuing studies in Yoga Therapy at present with Yogic Wisdom.
Kate is a Reiki Master practitioner and Sound Healer, creating a sensory haven for students, weaving yoga flow and sound healing. She looks forward to meeting and reconnecting with the Umina Beach Yoga community.
