Tina Vella started yoga later in her life having attended many yoga retreats in Bali and India, which stirred up her curiosity about the benefits of Yoga and how she can apply the Practices and Principles to her life.

In July 2018, she completed her 200-hour Hatha Teacher Training with Byron Bay Yoga Centre, whilst working in a busy corporate role in Sydney. Yoga helps Tina with the balance of mind, body and spirit; and having fun.

With a love for the outdoors, she ran casual Sunday classes locally on the Beach, being curious about what is possible in teaching Yoga, she combined her love for the ocean, yoga and her passion for stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) and became an Accredited ASI SUP Yoga Instructor in 2018.

To Tina, yoga is about being yourself, your true self, no requirement to measure up to anyone else, only being the best version of you and to give yourself permission to do what makes you happy.

Her favourite quote is:
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” – The Bhagavad Gita
